Breathe healthy
Be healthy
During Ottawa's cold winter months, indoor air quality can take a significant hit due to sealed windows, reduced ventilation, and increased use of heating systems. As the air becomes drier and homes become more airtight to keep out the cold, indoor pollutants like dust, pet dander, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) can accumulate. The use of heating systems can further dry out the air, exacerbating respiratory issues and skin dryness. It's essential to monitor indoor air quality by using air purifiers, humidifiers, and regularly venting your home to ensure a healthier indoor environment during the long winter season.
