Preparing for a Service Call

  • Know where your unit is located and ensure the equipment is accessible. Remove anything that may be in your service technicians way ahead of time. If it is located in an attic or crawl space, let us know in advance.

  • If your heat pump or air conditioner is frozen, turn it off right away so it may thaw before your arrives, allowing for proper inspection.

  • Have pets in a separate closed room before your service call so they do not get hurt or in the way of the technician.

  • Be prepared to explain what the problem is and when it began. If you look through the sight glass on the lower cabinet of your furnace, you may receive an error code. If so, write down what it says without removing or touching anything, as this will clear the code but it will not fix the problem. If possible, please also note the light sequence on the board, for example, 6 red flashes.

  • Ensure there is an adult, 18 years or older, home to legally allow entry of your technician.

  • Your invoice will be emailed to you after the call and is due within 30 days. Payment can be made by cash, cheque, or e-transfer.
