  • Homeowners who primarily heat their home with natural gas can receive up to $2000 in rebates. The amount of money you receive is based on the size of the unit your home requires; $500 per ton. The average Ontario home requires a 2-3 ton unit, averaging $1000-$1500 in rebates

  • Homeowners primarily heat their home with electricity can receive up to $7500 in rebates. The amount of money you receive is based on the size of the unit your home requires, $1250 per ton. The average Ontario home requires a 2-3 ton unit, averaging $2500-$3750 in rebates

  • Unlike programs in the past, this program does not require a third party home energy assessment 

  • Contractors complete the assessment and the application process

  • The contractor must be registered directly with the Home Renovation Savings Program to offer the rebate

  • In order to register with the program, contractors must be licensed and certified, and completed specialized training in each brand of heat pump they wish to offer 

  • Get in touch with Clockwork HVAC, we will meet to discuss your needs, go over options, provide an obligation-free quote, and answer any questions you may have 

  • Once you decide that you would like to proceed, Clockwork HVAC completes all necessary paperwork, the application, and submits it for approval 

  • After the installation is complete, Clockwork submits additional documentation confirming your installation is complete and requesting your rebate 

  • You should receive your rebate by cheque in the mail 3-6 months after the installation

  • P.S. the rebates are also available for other home energy upgrades such insulation, windows, doors and solar panels

Want to make home energy upgrades?

  • Interest free loans of up to $40 000 for 10 years

  • You must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or non-permanent resident who is legally authorized to work in Canada

  • You must own the home and it must be your primary residence

  • You have a pre-retrofit evaluation and have not yet had a post-retrofit evaluation

  • Your pre-retrofit evaluation was completed on or after April 1, 2020

  • You have not started the retrofits for which you are seeking a loan

  • You have a good credit history

  • This program is for homeowners who heat their home with oil

  • It is designed to support homeowners who meet the financial assistance criteria 

  • You could receive up to $10 000 toward the installation of a new heat pump and removal of your old oil system 

  • Clockwork is available to answer all your questions and help make the transition as smooth as possible 

Energy Affordability Program

  • It is designed to support homeowners who meet the financial assistance criteria 

  • It offers two types of support; energy savings kits and comprehensive support 

  • Homeowners who qualify could receive free energy efficient upgrades, including LED light bulbs, Energy-efficient refrigerators, Energy-efficient freezers, Energy-efficient dehumidifiers, Energy-efficient window air conditioner, Drying rack for clothes, Smart power strip, High-efficiency shower heads (standard and handheld)*, Faucet aerators (kitchen and bathroom)*, Additional attic or basement insulation**, Weatherstripping around doors and windows**, Smart thermostat(s)**, Cold climate air source heat pump** 

    *For homes with electric hot water heating

    **For homes heated by electricity

Home Winter Proofing Program

  • This program is for homeowners who heat their home with natural gas 

  • It is designed to support homeowners who meet the financial assistance criteria 

  • If you qualify, a free home energy assessment is conducted

  • You could receive free energy-efficient upgrades, including insulation, draft proofing and a smart thermostat, appliances, LED lighting and more

  • Home Efficiency Rebate (HER)

    The Home Efficiency Rebate program has ended intake as of January 27, 2025.

  • Ontario Greener Home Grant

    The Canada Greener Homes Grant has been a big success throughout Canada. As a result, funding has been fully committed and the program is closed to new applicants. If you applied to the program prior to closure, you can still login into your portal.
